LOTUSMED HSCR53004 PEDIATRIC DUAL HEAD STETHOSCOPE
Pediatric Dual Head Stethoscope HSCR53004
The Pediatric Dual Head Stethoscope was developed in the 1940s and soon became the means by which all other double-sided stethoscopes were designed.
The side of the diaphragm, the side that is used to listen to the heart, is made up of a drum membrane, and the smaller side is actually a concave, hollow shape that is used to listen to the patient's breathing and lungs.
The surface of the diaphragm is used to listen to internal vibration waves that travel all the way to the receiver of the stethoscope.
The smaller side of the bell listens for skin vibrations and sends them to the stethoscope's receiver for diagnosis.
